BevNET Review: While this isn’t the first pumpkin flavored soda that we’ve ever tried, it’s definitely the best. Of course, that’s the result of trying to create a product that you’d actually want to drink as opposed to a novelty that’s intended to make a quick buck. Pumpkin Pie Soda features all of the stuff that Maine Root has come to be known for – high quality (and, in some cases, organic) ingredients, well balanced flavor, just the right amount of carbonation, and Fair Trade Certification. It does, in fact, taste like a liquid translation of Pumpkin Pie, completely with that slightly spiced finish that you’d get from eating a slice of the real thing. The pumpkin flavor is pretty accurate, although the product doesn’t have that creamy feeling that you’ll find in canned pumpkin (that’s fine by us). Packaging is bold and appealing, thanks to the use of bright orange color and a large image of a pumpkin. It definitely fits nicely with the rustic feeling of the Maine Root brand. Overall, an exceptional extension to the Maine Root lineup.
