BevNET Review: Maine Root's Root Beer is a solid beverage that is definitely worth your money. This rich and creamy beverage is sweetened with organic evaportated cane juice and flavored with spices -- nothing tricky or artificial. The flavor is extremely good and can definitely hold its own with any micro-root beer on the market today. The packaging is abstract but eye catching, and the product definitely has a hand made feeling to it. Overall, a solid product from Maine Root.

This Root Beer Rocks

I drink a lot of natural soda (Boylan, Jones, etc.) and am a big fan of sodas that taste real -- not the sickeningly sweet sodas that have ingrediants I can't pronounce. I went to Maine for vacation last week and went to the store to load up on food and drink. When I got to the soda section I scanned some of the natural organic soda they had when one of the guys that worked there walked up and said I had to try maine root sodas. He told me he couldn't keep it on the shelf and that it would blow my mind. They were out of the Sasparilla, so I got a six pack of Ginger Ale and Root Beer along with tons of chow for my family and friends (we were having a family get together that night). It was less than a half hour after I returned with the provisions that someone asked if there were any more of the sodas. Everyone was asking where I got it, and my family was passing the sodas around like we were hobos keeping warm at a camp fire. I tried some and it was simply incredible. The Ginger Ale was light., crisp, with just the right hint of natural Ginger -- I have never tasted ANY soda so good. Until I tried the RootBeer. This company knows what the hell they are doing. The Root Beer was even better -- and Root Beer is my fave drink -- not too sweet, and with complex hints of flavor that made me feel like I was drinking wine in Napa. THIS was the gourmet root beer I have been searching for! Everyone wanted a taste and it was less than an hour later I was headed back in the car to the store (a half hour away). I bought all the rest of Maine Root. In the morning there was still beer in the cooler but all the soda was gone. Am I glad I vacationed in Maine! I write this to you from L.A. where I just bought a case of all three of this company's sodas. I can't wait to try the Sasparilla. Look for my review on that next. Thank you Maine Root.

Although I consider New Orleans home, I found that Maine Root beat Barq's Bite!
