BevNET Review: We’d love to hate this product, but it’s not the worst artificially-flavored chocolate milk drink we’ve ever had. That having been said, it’s nowhere near as good as, say, chocolate milk. That’s because the artificial sweeteners here leave a bit of a chemical aftertaste in your mouth that undercuts the decent chocolate flavor. We certainly couldn’t taste any milk, though, and the excessive use of thickeners meant it didn’t drink like it, either. We still don’t like the packaging – the cow looks like a ‘gangsta.’ Still, as a melted fake chocolate milkshake, it’s not bad.Reviewed on: 8/18/2005

BevNET Review: Well, color us strawberry-red in surprise. This is easily the best of the three Milk Chiller products, and actually tastes like we’d imagine you’d want strawberry milk to taste… for a while. And then that aftertaste of the Splenda hit, and we remembered the reason that it wasn’t hard for this product to be the best of these. The artificial sweetener blend is just plain bad-tasting at the end. Otherwise, not bad and more worth a try than the other milk chillers.Reviewed on: 8/18/2005

BevNET Review: As a product based on the idea that children will only drink milk if it’s sweetened beyond all recognition, this isn’t awful – it’s got lots of sweet vanilla flavor and only 16g of sugar per serving, an amount that’s actually less than most Yogurt. But there’s certainly not much here to actually remind you of milk; the Splenda and Ace-K blend leaves a chemical taste in your mouth and slight tingle, too. There’s no dairy aftertaste and very little milk flavor. And the long shelf life of the package is offset by a sharp edge on the plastic bottle that makes it a little uncomfortable to drink. There’s too much going on with the cow logo, which shows a sunglass-and-sandal wearing cow frozen in a block of ice holding a carton of ice cream. Not likely that the kids will be screaming for this one, but they might still like the ultra-sweet taste.Reviewed on: 8/18/2005
