BevNET Review: A shot to boost confidence is something that we haven't seen before, so we were quite interested in taking a look at Mind Essentials' "Confidence Shot." Like Mind Essentials' Relax product, the functional cocktail for Confidence Shot utilizes only floral ingredients, including larch, cerato, centaury, aspen, and mimulus. Obviously, we can't vouch for the effectiveness of the function, but what we can say is that the product is actually quite enjoyable to consume. And flavor is something which, despite being a secondary part of the equation for a product like this, will certainly keep some consumers coming back. The flavor is mellow and lightly floral, with a hint of agave added in to sweeten the mix. There's a very subtle fruit flavor to it (they label it as dragonfruit), which is definitely a nice addition. On the outside, the narrow neck container forces you to sip the product, which increases the overall enjoyment of the product. The bottle itself is a 2 oz. amber colored glass bottle, which is unmistakably a shot container. They've fully wrapped the bottle with a red label, which is decent looking but somewhat hard to read. A bit of cleanup would be nice, with conflicting "water" and "shot" language and not enough emphasis on the flavor. Overall, Confidence Water is an interesting and innovative concept that's well executed, but the big question is how the market will respond to this type of functionality.Reviewed on: 11/1/2010
