Update Information for This Brand

Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Mini Chill™ was created out of necessity by Steve (aka Mr. Chill, a typical New Yorker). Steve was looking for a way to unwind from the fast-paced, hectic lifestyle of 2009. Steve needed something that could be taken any time to feel good. Mini Chill™ was specifically designed to feel good without causing drowsiness. Mini Chill™ actually enhances concentration in a good way—unlike energy drinks. There's no nervous energy like with an energy drink or caffeine. So if you want to take it down a notch, enjoy Mini Chill™. Plus, there's no downside to enjoying the chill.

Product Type:Functional: Relaxation Drink; Container: 2 oz shot
BevNET Review: Mini Chill relaxation shot is designed to be a “fast acting” relaxation and stress relief product. It’s enhanced with a proprietary blend know as “Relarian”, which is comprised of valerian root, GABA (gamma-Aminobutyric acid), L-Theanine (the amino acid in green tea), and 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan). They’ve given the product a moderate dose of berry flavor and sweetened it with sucralose, which, when paired with the product’s functional ingredients, makes for something that has a pretty strong medicinal flavor and aftertaste. As a result, it’s the type of shot that should definitely be consumed quickly. On the functionality front, their blend is comprised of ingredients that are found in relaxation and focus enhancing products. However, it’s impossible to broadly say that this formulation works better than the competition – or to even point out that it has more or less of a given ingredient since that information is not disclosed. So, that leaves it up to the buyer, who’s likely to stick with the brand that their body best responds to. On the outside, they’ve chosen a stock shot bottle and full wrap label. There’s a lot of text on the front of the label, which is somewhat hard to quickly read due to the different colors of the text that they are using. Furthermore, the drink’s function is muddled by the introduction of words like stress, mood, and focus. Beyond that, we’re left feeling like this brand could use a bit of personality – or at least a visual element to make us remember it. Overall, it’s a decent product, but not a standout one yet. Not bad for a first effort.
