BevNET Review: Positioned as a "natural coffee drink," Mojava is a non-carbonated blend of coffee, sugar, natural flavor, caffeine, and citric acid. It's a fairly pleasant tasting product, although we'd probably like it more if it were carbonated. The product has a medium strength coffee body, followed by a moderate amount of sugar and a touch of acid to the finish. We could live without the acid to the finish, but otherwise this drink seems oddly positioned as a non-carbonated, non-dairy coffee drink. A very small niche to say the least. On the outside, the look of the can is clean, but a bit generic. They're promoting this product as having charitable intentions, with a portion of each sale going towards the treatment of sickle cell disease. A noble cause, no doubt, but it's also a missed opportunity in the sense that it's promoted in small type on the back of the can. Moving this to a more prominent location might be a good idea, especially with the rather sterile looking front panel. Overall, it's a decent first effort, but the choice of flavor and design seems to have put this product into a niche that might not have enough buyers. Reviewed on: 12/22/2008
