BevNET Review: The Monster Energy brand has translated nicely to the shot category with this entry, Monster Hitman. Featuring a 3 ounce format that's similar to the NOS and now Rockstar shot bottles, the product's exterior looks more appealing than the 2 ounce bottles that have become the mainstay of the category. The Hitman name and associated branding are clean and easy to understand, which is certainly a plus. Formulation is a low calorie one, using a mixture of sugar and sucralose to keep the calories down and the flavor (a "traditional" energy drink flavor) enjoyable. There's a noticeable hit of caffeine in this drink, which also includes energy drink stalwarts ginseng, taurine, guarana, and B vitamins. Overall, a potent and well executed extension to the Monster brand.

I have tried lots of energy drinks and shots. I prefer Hitman because there is a wind down of the burst of energy rather than the crash that I experience with some of the others available. It also leaves me feeling energized and not wired. I am a waitress that works only evening shifts and I keep moving at a brisk pace all night and able to move a lot of stuff with ease for my entire shift! When I get home the product gradually wears off and I enjoy a good night's rest.( I take it around 4pm and find that around 12pm the buzz starts to fade) Please note that everything is not for everyone and this product boasts a pleasant flavour that is not sickeningly sweet or incredibly artificial. I love this product and will recommend to anyone who needs extra energy periodically.

Not What I Expected

I was really excited to try this product, but found the flavor to be awful and was disappointed in the amount of energy I felt after taking the shot. The taste reminded me of a non-carbonated and concentrated normal Monster with a bitter artificial sweetener taste. I didn't feel nearly the amount of energy that I feel from the 16oz Monster and drank an additional energy drink to make up for the lack of energy in the Hitman.

GREAT PRODUCT by Monster. i hate the tart nasty tasting energy drinks. and this one is GREAT it taste like koolaid and it burns your throat going down lol. love it and have one everyday at work!! highly reccomended

Every place that I have seen the Monster Hitman, I ask the person working in that store how well those are doing. They say "Can't keep them on the shelf", or "Can't keep them in stock", or "My boss drinks one every day". I think it's all just a matter of taste. If you like a product that tastes like a mashed up flinstone vitamin (meaning you can taste every nutraceutical in there) and like drinking a syrupy concentrate of crap that is tough to swallow down, then Yes! Other shot's are perfect for you. However, if you like something that has a different flavor (than every OTHER energy drink on the market), that has a lighter mouthfeel, and does the trick without making you vibrate off your chair, then Monster Hitman is the drink for you. I personally like the Monster Hitman, and you can give your opinion, it's your right to do so, but don't slam a beverage just because you don't like it, and think that anyone that does is a complete moron. To each their own, and to each their own likes/dislikes. I'm so tired of reading these reviews where people like nothing more to bash a beverage. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else won't. People that get on here and that act all high and mighty of another beverage quite simply to me, seem like their just bashing the COMPETITOR! All's fair in love and beverages and the revenue's speak for themselves. :)

Sad Copycat with Zero Kick

Reading the "official" BevNet review seems to confirm what many have suspected for years...big bucks can buy a good review. I had the Monster Hitman and it was nothing more than a bady done copycat. The taste was horrible, especially compared to the recently introduced shots from NOS and Rock Star. The Monster shot was limp...it had to use a lot more liquid to deliver the same energy hit. Note to Bevnet and Monster "bigge is NOT better" in the shot biz. We want MAX performance in least possible ounces....NOT a bigger bottle with more water and less of the really potent ingredients. Maybe better to stick to coffee and regular energy drinks Monster.

So far, this has been one of the best energy shots that I've had! I love Monster and this little product is a plus in my book. I can take it in the morning & it will last me the entire day with no heavy crash at night. There is a slight crash, but it's more of an easing crash. Don't take it in the evening unless you are planning on being awake most of the night! (bad mistake) The effects are instint & long-lasting without the twitching & nervousness as some energy shots. I usually get a more rapid heartbeat after I drink an energy drink, but I don't get one after I have one of these shots. It's a real energy booster! My eyes may look & seem tired, but my body is up & ready to go! I seem more alert & talkative, also. Overall, it's GREAT!!

It made me go snow blind

I have tried every energy drink and energy shot then I tried this, it sucked it made me almost blind all I could see was white. Im not alergic to anything in it, The hitman shot just is a bad product very disapointing on monsters behalf. good thing I didnt drink it before my motocross race.
