BevNET Review: Monster has been reformulated with an improved taste. Well, we did a side-by-side comparison of the new flavor and the old and we were quite impressed with the new taste. The new flavor is sweeter and the bitter/medicinal finish that we cited in the original formula is gone. This being said, we would definitely put Monster in the upper ranks of great tasting energy drinks. We are extremely happy that Monster made this change and think that it will improve their performance in the market. In addition, it's going to put increased pressure on other companies that still produce harsh tasting formulas.

Sweet, but good

I think it's a good but SWEET energy. It's lightly carbonated and it has a very nice settle in your stomach. If you don't like sweet drinks, then don't bother. I can drink these about once a week, because they're so sweetly intense.

WAAYY too sweet

Tastes like somebody is shoving a pound of sugar and some dirty gym socks down your throat. Disgusting drink, and I have no idea why it's so popular.

The best there is...

Monster energy hands down has the best taste with the best buzz. It doesn't have HFCS which is a big plus, it tastes amazing, and it gives a decent buzz at a good price.
