I'm not overly impressed with the Mountain Dew meets Red Bull meets Cherry Coke flavoring. If I'm half sleep and just need that quick burst of energy, I can gulp the entire can and just hope there's not a crazy after taste! But I believe I should be able to enjoy the drink and its benefits without trying NOT to taste it.

Monster assualt !
The best of the Monster drinks. I have tried them all and switched from the original Green monster to this. The taste is better and it tastes better when it is warm. I hope it sticks around:)
Best monster of all, but watch out for bad batches
This is hands down my favorite monster. It is really the first energy drink I tried (besides mixed red bull drinks) and it has been my fav ever since. I will say that I have probably consumed well over 200 cans in the past couple of years and in that time I have come across only 2 or 3 cans that the exact same very rotten taste. I figure it's just that they were from bad batches But for first-timers, if you hate it at first give it a few weeks, go to another store, and try it again, cuz you never know.
ps does anyone else who loves assault know what bad taste I am talking about?
Monster decided to give a drink of their's a camo fatigue and a "fight the power" persona. It seems a bit corny, but they are trying to appeal to a younger market. Also, the can stands out from the other Monsters on the shelf. In the taste department, there is a noticable cherry flavor. Assault doesn't have the same over-sweet flavor as Monster, and is tolerable to drink (lighter). This is an improvement for Monster, and should be its regular formula.
Hey Im a huge Monster fan this Assault one had a interesting flavor although the caffiene kick was still in there it was pretty good just not as good as 0thers,plus the extra cals I think it should taste better.

I like this the best of all the monster products...it still has a funny taste to it but i think it's tastes the best and it gives me a lot of energy!!! I personally like red bull better but when i need an exta energy boost i like this!!! It's great and i LOVE it!!!
man...i had the 16oz. for breakfast this one day before school. It was crazy! i had GYM third hour and i was like spazzing out! it was cool! this stuff is realllllllyyyyy worth a try!
I've tasted three monsters. This one, the regular, and then the regular lo carb version.
Monster Assault is tremendously good. I love the flavor, taste like some kinda of kola nut gum that I used to buy (iFive mints brand, google them if u want more info on them i guess.)
But seriously, the taste is like a very sweet kola flavor, and has an awesome after taste that I love to death. The fizz of the after taste isn't overdone, or underdone, it's perfect. Refreshes my entire mind whenever I take a good sip of this drink.
Best monster of the series, But i still need the try the newest one.
My only buff on the monster is the $2 price tag... but I guess it's worth it. My store over here always puts them on sale for 2 for $3.00... which is always great to help me on those all nighters.
Again, the flavor is not for everyone, but I like it. A new flavor that I've never tasted before.
