BevNET Review: True to its name, Monster’s “Import” is, in fact, imported from Europe. What’s the benefit of having an energy drink that’s imported from overseas you ask? Mainly, it's the ability to take advantage of cans using the Ball Resealable End (currently only available in Europe). Unlike other resealable cans that rely upon a cap, this one is a swivel design, with a plastic tab that rotates to break the seal of the drink. This same tab exposes the opening to the drink, allowing you to consume the drink through the plastic opening, which feels much more pleasant on the lips than a standard aluminum opening. Furthermore, it really holds in the carbonation well. In our tests, there was substantial carbonation two days after initially opening the drink. As far as the rest of the drink goes, this product is a trademark Monster product with a "super premium" formula. There’s a flavor that’s on par with the flagship Monster flavor – and it definitely has some serious kick to it. They’ve tried to take the concept of “Import” and turn it into a premium theme, much the same way that certain beer brands use this to their advantage. For Monster, it’s fun and clean in execution, with a European style backdrop on the slender black can. Overall, a unique and innovative product from Monster – and it’s hands down the best resealable can we’ve seen to date.
