BevNET Review: While there’s some okay grape flavor at the start, this product doesn’t provide so much of a sour bite as it does a sour aftertaste. We understand the sales strategy involved with rolling out limited-edition versions of a popular product like Mountain Dew, but that doesn’t mean there’s been a lot of work put into making a quality limited edition version. With a label that seems to have some Monster energy drink highlights, like the extra pointy parts of the “M” and “W.” We’re sure the 12-year-olds will love drinking it to stay up extra late for Halloween. Whether they’re still into it on Nov. 1 is another story.

It's Great

I love the flavor of the new soft drink. I wish I could find it. I got some in Houston one Christmas Season and I have not been ableto find it anywhere since. I hope this was not just a flash in the pan.

It wasn't as good as the first one...but it was better then nothing.

It's Awesome!

I really liked the first Pitch Black, but I loved this one. The added sout flavor was just great. Really tasty!

Tastes good to me

I think it tastes great. I've already bought 2 today. I think it is an aquired taste which is probably why some do not like it.

I'll miss it

Not much to say about it other than I really like the somewhat sour grape flavor. Not too sweet like most grape drinks are, and the little extra kick is nice.

Sour pop for sour lovers

I wasn't a big fan of Mountain Dew Pitch Black, but a sucker for trying new things, I picked up some of this Pitch Black II. I love sour things (candies, drinks, etc.) and was pleased with this pop. A very nice sour grape flavor, sweet and tart at the same time. Good stuff.
