Wow... I was really surprised when I first drank Livewire. It was great. It doesn't beat Sunkist, but this gets really really close. It taste sort of like you accidentaly put too much water in that orange Kool-Aid you were making, but you'll drink it anyway. Its really good, compared to some orange drinks. But this is something you wouldn't expect from a brand like Mountain Dew.
Judging this product solely against other products in the same genre, i.e. Orange Sodas, LiveWire gets 5 Stars, clearly being the best of them all! It has a Energizing taste of Orange that just no other Orange Soda I have tasted can replicate.
This could come from the fact that REAL ORANGE JUICE is used in the ingredients. Yep, that's right, check the label. This product is superior and I'm so glad to see it as a permanent addition to the Mountain Dew Family.
LiveWire doesn't compare to other orange sodas. It's much better! LiveWire is not available in my area so it's difficult for me to get. I wish the distributor in my area would go back to offering it.
Granted I'm a huge PepsiCo fan, and usually like anything that they bring out, but this just wasnt very good! It tasted like a watered down orange soda. It could've been better!

Best Drink Ever
I love this drink. Ever since i first drank it, i have loved. I am so addicted to it. I want to have its babies. Its the only drink i ever drink anymore. All of my friends love it too, i have started a new trend. I dont really even like regular Mountain Dew, but this stuff is so awesome, its uncomparable to any other soda.

Nasty
At first, it was really, really good...Like an orange popsicle. Ugh, but I can't stand it. It tastes horrible! One can only have melted orange popsicles so much.
This is the most excellent orange soda on the market. What makes "Livewire" so great? It actually has real oranges in the ingredients. Probably the ONLY orange soda that does (read the labels!). It is also one of the few orange sodas with caffeine (well, yeah, it's Mountain Dew!).If you want so called "Mountain Dew product" like "Code Red" (puke), or that nasty stuff in the purple can (Black-something), then you won't like this, cus this soda is actually good! Heads above the rest. This is NOTHING like your average Orange Soda. Anyone who says that needs new taste buds. And if you don't like it, then you just don't like oranges, cus that's the difference here. Hey, I work outdoors in the HEAT and none of the other orange drinks have the refreshing taste that this does. Not Crush, not Fanta, not generic Walmart, Albertsons, or Shasta. Been there, done that. Unfortunately, Pepsi felt the need to only make it available during the summer months. So I stock up enough to last.
This drink is definatly a MD I would consider buying again. It has a good orange flavor, without being so orange, you get sick of it. Its a great alternitive to other orange sodas such as "Splash Orange", "Sukist Orange", or "Crush". And without an orange submission form Coke's Sprite division, Pepsi's Mountain Dew has got this game locked.
This is one of the most disgusting liquids I've ever tried. I'm serious - if I were to drink my own urine, I'm sure it would taste similar without the absolutely rancid orange *if you'd even call that orange* flavor...
I gagged several times. Mountain Dew needs to stop bringing out these REPUGNANT drinks. Pitch Black was even WORSE than Livewire, and then we have Baja Blast. My friend THREW UP because of it, and I was sick for 2 days. Jeez...
Original Mountain Dew is ok...This, however, is absolutely RANCID.
