On the surface, the Beet flavor of Mucho Gazpacho appears to be the company's most adventurous offering. Adding beets into gazpacho sounds like something that’s going to be pretty transformative and the purple-colored label definitely makes you wonder just how beet heavy it’s going to be. In reality though, this is more of a gazpacho with a beet accent than anything else and it’s really quite subtle. The formulation features classic gazpacho ingredients, including tomatoes, red peppers, onions, extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar, and salt. From there, the company has also added red cabbage, beets, and ginger. The resulting flavor is savory, with the flavor of the cabbage being more present than that of the beets. While it’s pleasant tasting -- and probably our second favorite flavor of the bunch -- we do wish that the beets had more of a presence in the product. On the packaging front, we like the approach to the branding in terms of how it looks and feels like an artisanal product. It’s definitely heavy on the text, which leads to some of it (like the “2 full servings” callout) being overlooked in the process of reading the front label. Still, it’s easy enough to look at the bottle and figure out what this product is. Plus, it looks polished and professional, which always helps. All in all, we still have concerns about the beet flavor, but the end result is a product that feels like a fit for the Mucho Gazpacho brand.
