Catch a low-sugar big wave of nutrition from Nui Kid Water. Nui ("new-ee") means big and abundant in the Pacific Islands. It is packed with flavor & nutrition - vitamins A, B, C & D, calcium, electrolytes, fiber, & powerful antioxidants from extracts of caffeine-free green tea & 9 high antioxidant fruits. Nui has no added sweeteners like high fructose corn syrup, crystalline fructose, or other sugars. The sweetness comes only from pure & natural fruit juice, but a serving has only 1/2 the sugar of apple juice. Although formulated for kids, it is safe for adults...with kid supervision. BevNET Review: Made with 40% juice (the only sweetener in the product), Nui's Outrageous Orange has a fairly natural taste that will appeal to kids, and with it's vitamin enriched formula, will especially satisfy parents. It's not as sweet as many competing products, which means that parents won't need to water the stuff down before giving it to their kids. Plus, the small 10 oz. format is a nice, reasonable size for kids. Label design is colorful, but busy, with a surfer themed label that works with the Hawaiian name. Overall, a decent tasting product, but we think the branding needs a bit more polish.Reviewed on: 5/21/2007

BevNET Review: Purple Power's flavor is geared for kids, which is a good thing given that it has a subtle candy like flavor. There's 40% juice, which can be tasted in the form of apple and pear notes throughout the body of this product. Parents will certainly appreciate the lower level of sweeteness and the nutrients that have been added, plus the smaller 10 oz. size is a reasonable portion for the intended drinker. Packaging feels like something you'd find on a grocery store juice aisle in a multipak, which is likely where Nui intends this product to land. Featuring 40% fruit juice and added vitamins, Nui has done a good job of creating an appealing flavor that also focuses on nutrition that will appeal to parents. It's a decent tasting product, but the branding feels a bit too busy to leave a lasting impression.
