BevNET Review: When we saw the name "Sweet Pear Mate", we expected two things: sweet pear and yerba mate flavor. Unfortunately, that's not exactly what's inside the bottle. First, there's the pear flavor which starts off with a very nice pear aroma. However, once it hits your tongue you'll notice that the flavor isn't very sweet -- or natural tasting -- and it finishes up with a slightly bitter note. There isn't a lot of mate flavor either, which is also unfortunate. On the outside of the bottle, the product needs help as well. The label is cluttered and busy, making the classic mistake of needing to get every last benefit and feature on the front panel. Overall, this drink definitely needs help.Reviewed on: 12/17/2007

BevNET Review: Despite being called "Mixed Berry", this product delivers a nice splash of raspberry flavor (from raspberry juice and flavorings), which is actually quite enjoyable and gives the mate some depth that we didn't see in the other varieties. On the packaging front, the product lacks a polished appearance, which is extremely important in the cluttered beverage market. In addition, we'd suggest that they rename this to "Raspberry Mate" rather than mixed berry.Reviewed on: 12/17/2007
