BevNET Review: Diet Pepsi Max is Pepsi's new cola entry that features a unique but simple twist: added caffeine (there's 46mg per 8 oz). In addition to that, the cola uses a sweetener blend of ace-K and aspartame, which results in a good level of sweetness with minimal aftertaste. Overall, Diet Pepsi Max is one of the more pleasant formulations to enter the cola market in years. Packaging is relatively simple, with a minimal amount of text on the front of the label. Perhaps our only gripes with this product are that the caffeine level isn't more prominent (it's buried on the back) and that the function isn't more obvious.

Tastes more like regular Pepsi Cola...

As one who has waited for an incarnation of Pepsi Max to finally hit U.S. shores (sans Pepsi Edge), this formulation was well worth the wait. Besides the added caffine boost and dash of ginsing as a kicker, diet pepsi max actually tastes like regular pepsi without any funny after taste that diet pepsi has. I can even drink it at room temperature without it having much affect on the taste. Pepsi hit a homerun with this variation of "max". Way to go!

Super drink, I highly recommend it, not too sweet and the soda has a nice cola flavor with a nice diet taste that doesn't leave an after taste.
