BevNET Review: Pepsi One is the newest low-calorie (a.k.a. diet) soda from pepsi. This beverage uses a combination of aspartame and Ace-K (Acesulfame Potassium), a new sweetener which is 200 times sweeter than sugar. The resulting flavor tastes very different than other diet beverages that we have tasted, but it still has a terrible aftertaste from the aspartame. While Pepsi claims that this beverage tastes just like regular Pepsi (as if that is a compliment), we disagree. This beverage tastes just like a diet beverage, only sweeter. We did not enjoy this beverage.

BevNet nees to change its review!The sweetner is (Splenda) and I have changed from Diet Coke because it does have a better taste. Hard to find but a great drink. I only hope Pepsi will keep it in the line.

Being a diabetic and having tried all diet sodas, there is nothing like Pepsi One for taste and satisfaction. I know they make it in batches and some taste a little different than others but my family goes through a case a week. It is sometimes hard to find though.

My grandson has a corn allergy. It is great to have a pop he can drink that does not contain aspartane.

Pepsi One is the only form of diet pepsi that *does not* contain any aspartame. It's sweeetened with splenda (also called sucralose). I hate the taste of aspartame and also don't want its metabolites in my body, so I love Pepsi one. After a while Splenda drinks actually taste better to me than sugared drinks. I'm stunned that the Betnet reviewer claimed it contained aspartame; did he even read the ingredients?

I love Pepsi One and I prefer it over Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. It tastes like regular Pepsi to me, but a tad sweeter. For me, there is no after taste. Pepsi One is awesome!
