BevNET Review: Phix Citron, which is an all natural stick pack based energy powder, features a formulation that includes yerba mate (for natural caffeine), green tea extract, B vitamins, vitamin C, electrolytes, vitamin A and more. There’s definitely some energy kick to the product. It’s sweetened with sugar and stevia, but it tastes purely like a sugar sweetened product (that’s a good thing). Otherwise, the flavor drinks almost like a powered iced tea, with a subtle tea flavor, a lot of sweetness (when mixed with between 12 and 16 ounces of water), and a hefty citrus note at the end. Packaging and branding, which is somewhat constrained by the small amount of real estate of the stick (the box has a bit more room), looks clean, modern, and healthy relative to other energy products out there. The lightning bolt logo and Phix name are intuitive and appealing, which should help it stand out from the competition. All in all, a very nicely executed product. Reviewed on: 7/5/2011
