Phylo Tea

Manufacturer's Brand Overview [Edit]

PHYLO Sparkling Iced Tea is the better tasting iced tea. Added to Phylo is just enough carbonation to make it a truly great tasting, really refreshing iced tea. Phylo is all natural, no preservatives, made from pure cane sugar and real brewed tea so you get all the benefits of tea and the taste of a soda.

Cranberry Sparkling Tea

Product Type:Tea: Alternative; Container: 12 fl oz
BevNET Review: Cranberry was the last flavor of Phylo Tea that we sampled. It's a nice tasting drink that, like the other Phylo flavors, has a balanced mix of cranberry and tea flavors. However, after trying a few of these products, it seems like they are very similar in terms of their flavor profile. This is especially true with the cranberry and raspberry varieties. We'd recommend doing something to differentiate them -- or simply to introduce others that give the line a bit more diversity. Don't take this the wrong way -- Cranberry is still a technically sound flavor that provides an enjoyable and refreshing flavor. Reviewed on: 1/30/2008

Lemon Sparkling Tea

Product Type:Tea: Alternative; Container: 12 fl oz
BevNET Review: Phylo Tea's Lemon flavor tastes like exactly what you'd expect it to taste like: carbonated black tea with lemon flavor. There's a decent amount of sweetness to it (courtesy of cane sugar), but the product manages to maintain a relatively crisp, dry finish. Overall, we appreciate this drink's simplistic approach to delivering an extremely refreshing flavor. As for the packaging and branding, the drink presents a professional look that's relatively attractive -- especially for a stock bottle. We're not sure how we feel about the name "Phylo Tea", but it's probably good enough to get the brand off the ground. Definitely worth a try.Reviewed on: 1/30/2008

Peach Sparkling Tea

Product Type:Tea: Alternative; Container: 12 fl oz
BevNET Review: Like many peach flavored iced teas, Phylo's entry doesn't present the most natural tasting peach flavor. However, the use of carbonation definitely the fact that does a nice job of helping to disguise this, leaving the drink with a very crisp, pleasant flavor. Like the other flavors, the packaging is, for the most part, an attractive offering. While it is a stock bottle, they've done a nice job of dressing it up. However, we think that the emphasis is a bit too heavy on the word "Tea" and the word "sparkling" might be missed. Reviewed on: 1/30/2008

Raspberry Sparkling Tea

Product Type:Tea: Alternative; Container: 12 fl oz
BevNET Review: The raspberry flavor of Phylo Tea is somewhat similar to what you might get from a raspberry flavored iced tea, but with the obvious addition of carbonation. That, however, is something that makes all the difference for this product, both in terms of taste and product positioning. As for the flavor, the carbonation helps add crispness to what otherwise might be an overly sweet product. Like the other flavors, the packaging gets the job done, although it certainly isn't the most elegant of designs that we've ever seen. On the other hand, Phylo feels ripe for mainstream appeal.
