BevNET Review: Well, you could have knocked us over with a feather. In launching a sparkling version of its loganberry drink, Crystal Beach has taken what had been a rather unimpressive fruit drink and turned it into a truly sandwich-worthy soda along the lines of a black cherry or blueberry. The shot of carbonation gives the concentrated loganberry juice a much-needed edge, and creates a tasty soda that can rival any of the mainstream fruit CSDs. Of course, we’d prefer real sugar to the corn syrup Crystal Beach is using here, and we’d rather see loganberries on the label than a nondescript, empty beach, but it just goes to show what a little CO2 can do.
