BevNET Review:
Being a company that makes pomegranate juice, we certainly expected a lot from a flavor that appears to be close to home to POM Wonderful. Using a blend of black tea, black tea, sugar, POMx (their proprietary antioxidant extract), natural flavors, and citric acid, the product has a simple palatable flavor. There's a light touch of black tea flavor, followed by a sweet, mildly tart pomegranate flavor. The pomegranate flavor is definitely stronger than that of the tea, leaving this product skewed towards the juice end of the spectrum (we're guessing this was the intention). It's well balanced, having just the right amount of fruit flavor and sweetener to offset the naturally acidic flavor of black tea. Packaging is clean and attractive, relying heavily on the existing brand equity of the POM Wonderful logo. Overall, a very enjoyable product that delivers bold flavor in a nicely designed, minimalist package.

Pomegranate Peach Passion White Tea
Category: Tea: Sweetened; Packaging: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Unlike many of today's tea products that come to market, this one actually uses pomegranate, peach, and passion fruit juices. This makes a huge difference in flavor, giving the product discernable fruit flavors instead of the muddled flavorings that we often see in tea products. On the other hand, this drink is definitely more a juice product than a tea, so this isn't the type of product that will appeal to someone drinking an Honest Tea or equivalent. That's not a bad thing, but a point of differentiation -- and one that they've really succeeded with in the execution of the product. Packaging is good, but austere, which might make it be missed amongst a sea of products that typically use fruit imagery on the front panel. If nothing else, it would be nice if the products were more easily distinguishable.

Pomegranate Blackberry Tea
Category: Tea: Sweetened; Packaging: 16 fl oz (473 ml) glass
BevNET Review:
This variety uses a base of black tea with added pomegranate, POMx, blackberry juice, natural flavors, sugar, and citric acid. The resulting mixture is the most fruity tasting of the lineup, complete with a pleasant full bodied note of tart blackberry and pomegranate flavors. While this product is sound in its execution, we're not convinced that this strong of a fruit flavor should be used in a line that is labeled as a tea line. We'd prefer to see a more mellow, lower calorie formulation. Like the other flavors, this variety has an attractive design that's well executed with sturdy plastic and a high painted label. Overall, very strong execution, but a bit too much fruit flavor in our opinion.
