BevNET Review: Smashing Currant is the latest flavor from super premium soda maker Pop Soda. Like the other flavors, this variety has an impressive natural flavor, with each of the drink's ingredients discernable from the mix. The first flavor to hit your tongue are the black currant, elderberry, and rosehips, which is then followed by a splash of lemon before finally being rounded out with a dash of sugar and honey. All in all, it's an extremely enjoyable fruit flavored soda. Packaging is a 12 oz glass bottle which has an attractive hippie style label (that's what Vermont is all about). Really, the only thing that comes to mind is going organic as many other competing micro sodas are. Overall, exceptional taste and a super premium look make this a drink that's definitely worth a try.
