Of the initial flavors of POPwater that we sampled, the orange variety is the most familiar and similar to a traditional carbonated soft drink. But don't get us wrong, it's a very pleasant tasting formulation that the company has created. The product contains only 30 calories and 7g of sugar per bottle. It’s sweetened with sugar, erythritol, and stevia, which definitely seems like one of the better low-calorie sweetener blends. It's very straightforward and simple product in that refreshment is really the product's only function (which is fine by us). Visually, we give POPwater a lot of credit for trying to come up with something that really stands out and feels like its own. The product feels like something that you'd find in the carbonated soft drink category much more so than the enhanced water category. Whether the company was trying to do this or not, we honestly don't know. Fortunately, the aluminum 11.2 oz. bottle looks polished, professional, and hip. Overall, solid execution and enjoyable flavor make this a product that can certainly gain a loyal following in the low-calorie sparkling beverages segment.
