This product is a seasonal variety for winter 2016, and is the first Pressed Juicery blend to use moringa, a superfood that contains high amounts of protein, vitamin A, potassium and vitamin C (among other nutrients). From a taste perspective, the product has a relatively sweet date flavor followed by a note of salt and vanilla. The matcha and hemp flavors are somewhat secondary, at least on the first sip or two, but their presence becomes more prominent as you continue to drink the product. There’s also added spirulina and chlorophyll, but these do not impact the flavor of the drink. Compared to other “matcha milk” style products, we like that this one has a lighter mouthfeel. From a nutritional perspective, this product has 380 calories, 18g of protein, 6g of fiber, and 14g of sugar per bottle. That being said, it’s still very much something that we’d view as a meal replacement beverage. On the outside, there’s not a whole lot to say about this one that we haven’t previously said about Pressed Juicery products. The overall design aesthetic is well-executed and the pastel green-colored liquid certainly stands out visually. However, we still wish there were flavor names, a disclosure about what safety processing method Pressed Juicery is employing to protect this product (presumably HPP), and an expiration or production date. All in all, this is an innovative formulation and one that’s quite enjoyable from start to finish.
