Jala-Greeno (pronounced “green-yo”) is definitely one of the more unique flavors of the Project Juice lineup. This completely raw (no high pressure processing nor pasteurization) product blends jicama, pineapple, kale, jalapeno and lime. The company did a great job of blending sweet and spicy, with a nice balance of pineapple, jalapeno and lime flavors. The product also uses jicama and kale, but neither of those flavors are really a dominant part of the blend. Instead, it’s the heat from the jalapeno that is definitely the most interesting part of this product (we haven’t seen too many cold-pressed drinks with jalapeno). The pepper definitely hits your tongue throughout this product, but it’s never there to the point of overwhelming your palate. On the outside, we like the branding and name the company has come up with. The 14.75 oz. bottle size, has a minimalist look to it that is clean and appealing to the eye. The current design definitely feels like it could use a bit more polish, but we like where it’s headed. Overall, this is a superb formulation, and one the most unique and enjoyable raw juices that we’ve sampled.
