BevNET Review: Pro Slammers is a Bravo! Foods' athletically positioned dairy beverage line. Labeled as "Milk with Attitude", the line features well known extreme athletes, like the one on Hard Chocolate, skateboard phenom Shane Yost. The line is made with 2% reduced fat milk and contains 38% less fat than whole milk, 50% more protein than regular milk and is sweetened with Splenda, sugar, and high-fructose corn syrup. The beverage has a strong chocolate flavor, and is nearly as thick and viscous as a milk shake. Each bottle contains a whopping 360 calories, but we wouldn't expect that to scare away the teenage boys that this brand is designed to appeal to. On the contrary, they will likely love the filling nature of this drink, if they decide they want something from the dairy case.Reviewed on: 4/24/2007

BevNET Review: Pro Slammers is Bravo! Foods' performance-positioned dairy beverage line. Labeled as "Milk with Attitude", the product features well-known extreme sports stars. This one, Mocha Cocoa, features freestyle BMX bike champ John Parker. It's made with 2% reduced fat milk and contains 38% less fat than whole milk, has 50% more protein than regular milk and is sweetened with Splenda, in addition to some sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. Mocha Cocoa has a great coffee flavor which does well to mask its full complement of vitamins and minerals. The sophisticated mocha flavor of this drink might be a bit lost on the brand target demographic, presumably teenage males. The line contains 50% more protein than regular milk and is sweetened with Splenda as well as some sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. Vanilla Rush features pro skateboarder Danny Mayer. This is our favorite flavor of the brand -- but realistically the vanilla flavor probably has less market apeal than the chocolate or mocha varieties. In addition, the cover art photo and the color scheme work best on the shrink-wrapped bottle. We think this product will be very popular among teenagers in particular.Reviewed on: 4/24/2007
