BevNET Review: Pure Power Shotz offers the same great flavor of the original Pure Power, plus something that we felt was missing from the original: innovation. Specifically, this product is packaged in a 5.75 ounce (170ml) short can and will be priced around $1.25 (watch for it in Wal*Mart and 7-11 stores). Despite the short size, this product offers double the "punch" as a typical 250ml energy drink. The size combined with the rather good taste has the potential to click with consumers who are looking to get a buzz without having to suffer through 8 or 16 ounces of bad taste. BevNET Review: Pure Power Energy Drink is a new energy drink that focuses on providing great taste and value. They definitely took great care to make sure that this product is among the top of the category in terms of taste. The sweet citrus flavor is something that tastes much closer to a soda than an energy drink. The packaging is unique and definitely gets points for creativity, but the vertically oriented text makes it hard to read the name. This might not be important for other products, but in the energy drink category we're afraid that people might just miss this product. Perhaps the blue and silver swirl will be memorable enough to keep consumers coming back. Overall, this product is an above average energy drink -- the taste is excellent, but lettering on the can could use some improvements to help readability. Reviewed on: 11/20/2003
