BevNET Review: Purity Organic’s Cranberry Cocktail is a very mainstream oriented product that uses a blend of cranberry, apple, and grape juices. The result is something that has a moderate amount of cranberry flavor, with the apple and grape (as well as the added sugar) cutting the tartness and adding some sweetness to the mix. When it comes to products like this, it’s balance of flavors that really separates the wheat from the chaff, and this is definitely one of those products that is smooth and balanced from start to finish. Visually, we like the smaller 12 oz. bottle, which feels like the appropriate portion for a product that is as full bodied as this one is. Purity’s “fruit matrix” design is clean yet approachable and playful, without undermining the quality of the product inside. Overall, Purity’s Cranberry Cocktail is a very enjoyable take on the classic cranberry cocktail beverage.Reviewed on: 5/1/2012

BevNET Review: Unlike other “grape” juice beverages that we’ve sampled over the years, Purity Organic’s Grapeade has a grape flavor that is extremely natural and accurate. It’s made with Concord grape juice from concentrate along with sugar, natural flavors, and lemon juice, which, like the rest of the Purity line, results in a simple and balanced flavor. Visually, they’ve done a great job with this product, with the bring purple fruit illustrations really popping against the clean white backdrop. Even the name Purity and its logo add to the branding, with an underlying theme of wholesome and simple helping to reinforce the quality ingredients that are inside this bottle. Overall, we enjoy what Purity has done with this product and it’s one of the better tasting grape flavored products that we’ve sampled in a while.Reviewed on: 5/1/2012

BevNET Review: Purity Organic’s play on the classic mixture of iced tea and lemonade (also known as half & half or an Arnold Palmer) is a well-executed one. They’ve done a very nice job of achieving balance between the lemonade and iced tea flavors, resulting in something that tastes like one flavor rather than two that are competing. It’s sweetened with sugar, which gives the product a moderate level of sweetness and a clean finish. Visually, this being Purity’s only flavor to use tea, they’ve done a nice job of incorporating tea leaves into their “fruit matrix” in such a way that it’s obvious that this is a tea based drink. That said, we’d love to see additional tea flavors as part of this brand. Overall, a really enjoyable product that’s at the top of our list when it comes to Purity’s flavors. Reviewed on: 5/1/2012

BevNET Review: Purity's Organic Lemonade is one of the better lemonades we've sampled in a long time. Why? Its formula for success is simple -- Purity Lemonade uses real lemon juice (not from concentrate) and no filler juices (unlike the white grape formulations that abound). The result is a formulation that has just the right balance of lemon and sugar flavors. They’ve hit the nail on the head in terms of recreating classic, homemade lemonade flavor. The product’s cylindrical 16.9 oz. bottle feels good in the hand, while the label, which is clean and minimalist yet vibrant, does a great job of establishing this product as a super premium offering. BevNET Review: As far as shelf-stable orange juice goes, Purity’s Organic Orange Juice is as good as it gets. The product is made with a blend of not from concentrate orange juice and orange juice from concentrate, which gives the product a very straightforward and full bodied flavor. While it loses a bit of the “tang” that is found in fresh squeezed orange juice, it’s a very solid effort and definitely better tasting than the big established brands that make competing products. Visually, the squat 12 oz. bottle has a cute look to it that, thanks to the simplistic label, feels like something that is made with high quality ingredients. Plus, the highly detailed orange images make the product feel fresh and whet the appetite. Overall, another fine product from Purity Organic.Reviewed on: 5/1/2012

BevNET Review: As far as Purity Organic’s line goes, Pomegranate & Blueberry Plus is by far the most complex and ambitious of the bunch. Not only is it a vitamin enhanced flavor (hence the “Plus”), but they’ve also taken away in the sense that this product is watered down to keep the calories at 60 per 8 ounce serving. While it’s an interesting way to take Purity into the functional space, the “Plus” takes away from the simplicity and wholesomeness of the other flavors. However, we definitely understand why someone would buy a reduced-calorie product, although we are left feeling like this product’s fruit flavor isn’t up to the high standard that has been set by the others. In fairness, this is all really nit picking -- compared to the countless other products that this flavor competes with, it’s still extremely good. It just doesn’t feel like a product, from both a flavor and positioning point of view, that fits with the others. BevNET Review: Continuing with the high quality approach that Purity has used on their other flavors, their Fresh-Pressed Apple Juice is a top notch juice product. Unlike a lot of other apple juice products that use blends of different types of apples, Purity uses 100 percent gravenstein apples to make this 100 percent juice product. As a result, the flavor that’s inside this bottle is fruity and complex to the point where it’s almost as good as farm stand apple cider (it even has the cloudy brown color). That said, this is probably the best-tasting shelf stable apple juice that we’ve ever had. Sure, Apple Juice isn’t a product that’s new or exciting, but nailing a classic product in a contemporary package is something that consumers will definitely want. The label, which follows the “grid of fruit” format used by all of their other products, feels like pop art meets organic produce. And it works really well, almost instantly whetting the appetite. Overall, this product, which bucks the trend of things like superfruit and coconut water and takes the simple and classic route, does a great job of making something as simple as apple juice seem exciting and new again. BevNET Review: Purity Organic Mango Wonder is a tasty juice drink which pairs a mellow mango flavor with a nice, slightly sour, citrus note provided by the addition of organic lemon juice. Consistent with their other juice drinks, the Mango Wonder uses organic evaporated cane sugar as its main sweetener base. This drink is certainly sweet, however the 28g of sugar are necessary to provide a nice balance to the tartness of the lemon juice. This product's packaging is nondescript, utilizing a stock bottle and cap and a white label around its midsection. While this could be a knock for some, the stock materials fit nicely with brand’s organic, clean aesthetic and ultimately reinforce its wholesome formulation. Overall, this is a well executed product that fits nicely in the Purity Organic lineup.Reviewed on: 12/22/2010
