Purity Organic’s Matcha with Lemongrass and Ginger is a smooth and clean tasting formulation that has only 90 calories per bottle. At the base of the drink is brewed matcha tea, which the company has sweetened with agave. From there, ginger juice and extract along with lemongrass provide some subtle flavoring. Unlike some of the other matcha products that are currently on the market, this product is much milder and, therefore, approachable. None of the three flavors that make up the blend are overly strong, which means that you can drink the entire bottle rather quickly. Plus, this is a good starting point for consumers who are new to matcha and it’s definitely a nice bonus that the product is USDA Organic certified. Packaging is a 14 oz. glass bottle, which looks very much like its Super Greens line. The visual emphasis is definitely on “matcha.”, which, at least when comparing it with the Honey variety that also has a green label, makes it slightly difficult to quickly tell the products apart. Adding another visual callout to the flavoring would remedy this. Otherwise, what they’ve created is visually appealing, clean, and intuitive -- everything that we’d expect from a premium product like this. All in all, this is a great line extension for Purity Organic.
