BevNET Review: Reed's Extra Ginger Brew has a slightly stronger ginger taste than the other Reed's Ginger Brews, but it has the same great honey and pineapple flavor as the original. This is definitely as superior a beverage as the other flavors. We would recommend this flavor to those people who prefer a slightly stronger ginger flavor.

My favorite for a "heavier brew"

I received a four pack of Reed's Extra Ginger Brew for Christmas. I was introduced to Ginger Beer Soda by means of Archer Farms. That is my favorite "light brew." After having some ginger brews that burned the you-know-what off of my lips, I was a bit leary of trying Reed's. I opened my first bottle and was pleasantly surprised. The taste is a plethora of flavors, but the after taste is where the pineapple and honey begin to blossom. I personally do not look for a fire in ginger libations, but for me Reed's Extra is the perfect blend of ingredients. I especially like that there are not goofy ingredients. Terrible

Not Rated

First thing, I LOVE ginger flavored things, and I LOVE ginger beer. However, I can hardly even taste ginger in this sad excuse for a ginger beer. I looked at the label first, and saw that it only had 37 grams of sugar (which is more than 3x less than most ginger beers that I have had) and was excited to find one that didn't make me feel like I was drinking diabetes. In my opinion ginger beer should be primarily a STRONG ginger taste that causes a mild burning sensation, but this only makes my face wrinkle with disgust. So, after a extremely over-hyped review, I am very sad to say that this drink is no good.

I taste a lot of things, and ginger isn't one of them. I've had 11 ginger beers, and this is my least favourite and most expensive.

Very nice mix

One of the best ginger ales out there, this has a great mellow sweetness, and a nice ginger spice. Yes, you can taste the honey in this, and it's a great touch. It is close to their other flavor, but with a bit more hotness.

what a great taste

the very first time i had reeds i thought it was disgusting. but that was nearly five years ago. if you stop and taste it and think about it its really good. the taste is unuique to all of the other ginger beers.and its cheap.
