Update Information for This Brand

Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Regatta prepares its Bermuda Stone Ginger Beer in the same time-honored way it was brewed over 100 years ago. The finest ginger roots are imported, blended and slow fermented in stone vessels. The essences from this fermentation are blended with other natural ingredients which are then added to purified, filtered, sparkling water to become the standard of ginger beers around the world.

Diet

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Diet; Container: 12 fl oz (355 ml) glass
BevNET Review: The long awaited diet version of Barritts Ginger Beer never made it to the US market, so when Regatta was launched, Affinity wasted no time in getting this on the store shelves. The quality is surprisingly good, with the potent ginger flavor hiding most of the sweetener (ace-k sucralose blend) aftertaste. The packaging feels sophisticated, but its personality could use some improvement – we’re honestly not sure what type of consumer the Regatta brand will strongly appeal to. Overall, though, a top-notch when it comes to diet ginger beer taste.

Original

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 fl oz (355 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Using a formula that tastes similar to the US version of Barritts Ginger Beer, Regatta is, just like its predecessor, one of the best ginger beers around. It has a subtle ginger spice that won’t overpower you, but is still big on flavor. The packaging is admittedly not as appealing as a bottle bearing the Barritts name, especially given that the Regatta brand has neither history nor meaning. The brand feels clean in design, but it doesn’t really jump out at you. It’s going to fall to the brand owner, Affinity, to make something of it: technically speaking, the formulation is superb -- better than Barritts, in our opinion -- and the packaging looks professional. Now it’s time to see if they can recreate the magic that Barritts has.
