The formulation uses the base berry flavor from the regular version and is sweetened with acesulfame potassium and sucralose. These two sweeteners give the product a slight aftertaste, but it's on par with other energy drinks that use these sweeteners. The overall flavor of Rip It Lite is refreshing and is a good choice for consumers seeking a sugar free energy drink at a reasonable price (Rip It Lite costs less than half the typical retail price of the leading 16 energy drink brands). As for areas that could be improved, the packaging could be improved in our opinion.
