While there isn’t really an “Original” flavor to the Ripe Craft Juice line, this product does, given that the products are all made with Ocean Spray fruit, seem to be the focal point. Unlike the other flavors, which are 100 percent juice, this product is only 30 percent and contains cranberries, water and evaporated cane juice. This makes the cold-pressed aspect of the product significantly less important because only one ingredient (cranberries) is cold-pressed. In addition, cutting it with this much water and adding sugar gives the product a much less noticeable difference between traditional pasteurized products that Ocean Spray has been making forever. Truthfully, we wish that the company would have done something a bit more in line with the cold-pressed juice category, such as cutting the product with apple juice instead of adding water and sugar. It definitely feels a bit confusing in terms of the value, but at least the price point is low; it retails for under $4. Visually, we really like the look of this product. The 12 oz. bottle is sleek and appealing, and we really like the coordination of red colors between the labeling and the liquid itself. But, as with the other flavors, we think that reducing the amount of text on the front panel would make a world of difference. Overall, we really like the concept and positioning of the product, but we wish that the product had higher juice content.
