BevNET Review: The Wild Berry Flavor of Rockstar's Energy Shot has a noticeable kick, both in flavor and after effects. While it's hard to distinguish something that we'd call "wild berry", it does have a flavor that's at least a distant cousin to Rockstar's flagship carbonated product. The shot has zero calories or sugar and 200mg of caffeine, which gives it a noticeable burn to its finish. Don't take that the wrong way -- it's actually not bad compared to many other shots on the market today. Packaging, on the other hand, is truly standout, using a proprietary design that's taller than the 2 oz shots that are so common on today's countertops. They've done a great job with it, creating an attractive looking label that's true to the Rockstar brand. Definitely worth a try.

BevNET Review: Where Wild Berry lacks in flavor, Tropical Punch definitely picks up the slack. This variety not only has the same attractive packaging as the Wild Berry, but a much improved flavor that's actually enjoyable. There's a decent amount of fruit flavor, which helps hide the burn of the caffeine and the aftertaste of the artificial sweetener. Compared with the Wild Berry flavor, this variety only has a slight variation in its packaging in the form of red coloring being using in place of the gold that Wild Berry uses. Overall, this energy shot packs a good caffeine hit, added B vitamins and other functional ingredients, enjoyable flavor, and a nicely executed bottle. Definitely a strong entry from Rockstar.
