BevNET Review: The most recent beverage from Sambazon is Purple Power, a lightly flavored organic beverage that features a mellow dose of acai and agave. With only five ingredients (always a plus, in our book), this beverage has a wholesome flavor that’s not as intense as some of the other Sambazon drinks. Specifically, the tart and sweet flavor that we typically see in acai beverages is not as prevalent in this variety. Also, at 155 calories and 22g of sugar per 10.5 oz bottle, Organic Acai is a little more friendly to those who are counting calories. Finally, there is the packaging which, with its bright purple hue, is different than the green used by the other flavors. Overall, they’ve done a good job of creating a new, more mellow and, as a result, mainstream style of acai beverage.

They way acai should be

This is a really nice way to introduce the flavor of acai. It's not too thick, nor tart. This goes well with an (organic) meal. It's a bit milky, so if you're looking for a thirst quencher, go with something else.
