BevNET Review: There’s so much nice cherry scent and flavor in this little sparkler that we thought we’d fallen asleep under the produce aisle. Obviously, a drink that’s 15 percent cherry and lemon juice goes a long way. Combine it with some cane sugar and Santa Cruz’s excellent sparkling water and you’ve got another great addition to the company’s under-packaged but overachieving canned spritzer line. If only they could jazz up the cans, it could give anyone a run for their money.

BevNET Review: We were skeptical about the ability of Santa Cruz to pull off a 5 percent juice, spritzer-based ginger ale. We shouldn’t have been. This excellent drink isn’t too sweet up front and has a nice ginger bite at the end, with some good spice, and none of the off-notes that come from trying to soup up that bite beyond its normal limitations. If Santa Cruz could improve on the cans for this line – or even come up with a unique ginger ale packaging for this particular flavor – they could have a real winner here. But as it is, it’s just a great flavor that’s severely underdressed.

BevNET Review: This sparkling juice drink features the same crisp, not-too-sweet effervescence as its Raspberry line partner, but it’s got a touch of overripe mango in the flavor mix. Still, that indicates the stuff is real, after all, and it’s tasty, juicy and refreshing. Nevertheless, its can isn’t all that enticing and with the flavor of the mango just a little off, we’re not sure how far into the mainstream Santa Cruz can go with this flavor. Too bad, because it’s definitely worth a try.

BevNET Review: The use of raspberry puree in this organic-certified juice beverage turns it into one of the most accurate raspberry-flavored drinks we’ve ever tasted. It’s neither too sweet nor too sour, and we expected to be picking seeds out of our teeth it was so fruity. There’s not a lot of lemonade to the flavor profile, but that’s okay – with just 11 percent juice, and a little fizz, Santa Cruz Organics has made a really great product. Unfortunately, it’s in a rather bland two-tone can, the kind that plagues natural food store brands that don’t aspire to the mainstream. Regardless, the flavor makes it well worth coming back to.
