Feel Better

Product Type:Functional: Recovery and Hangover; Container: 1 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Designed as both a digestive and anti-hangover drink, Security is a unique looking 1 ounce product that would likely fit into the shot category. It’s made with their proprietary “feel better blend,” which includes sugar (fructose), artichoke leaf extract, angelica leaf extract, Yunnan tea extract, glycerin, artificial pear flavoring, and lemon juice. The result is something that has a heavy pear flavor with a slightly bitter herbal finish. While it’s hard to say how well this product works, it is one of the more unique looking products in the space. Packaged in a 1 oz. glass bottle (which we don’t recall seeing any other product use), the branding makes an effort to look cool (the clean branding looks just like an alcohol nip) rather than like a credible functional product. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – the market is littered with products that are trying to sell bulleted lists of functional benefits. However, “Security Feel Better” is a mouthful to say and has an ambiguous meaning. Whether or not this approach will work for them is hard to say – but they’ve definitely succeeded in creating something that’s memorable. Overall, a clean looking product that’s one of the more creative products in the space.Reviewed on: 3/30/2011
