BevNET Review: If you're like us, seeing the name "Purple Corn" doesn't exactly whet your appetite. Fortunately, once we tried this product, it didn't take more than a sip to be won over. Using a mixture of purple corn, cinnamon, pineapple, clove, and cane sugar, Purple Corn delivers a delicately balanced flavor that combines notes of fruit and spice flavor. The purple corn itself doesn't seem to do anything to the flavor, while the spices give it a taste that's reminiscent of the clove and cinnamon spice that you'd find in holiday cider. On the outside, they've used a stock 16 ounce glass bottle with a bright purple label. It doesn't look bad, but the "purple corn" text and the "simply originals" logo seem to be battling one another. Plus, there's the previously cited issue of "corn" not being a natural beverage flavor. Overall, exceptional formulation but questionable market appeal.
