Passionfruit Lemonade

BevNET Review: Skinny Water is a zero calorie, sugar free entry that fits into both vitamin enhanced water and weight loss categories. Using ace-k and sucralose as the sweeteners, the drink has a natural level of sweetness, but minimal aftertaste. There's a relatively pleasant fruit flavor that has been used, but it tastes more like a general "tropical" flavor than the advertised passionfruit lemonade (it's lacking enough lemon flavor). Regardless, the pleasant mix has a bevy of added ingredients, including EGCG, ChromeMate, SuperCitrimax, and vitamins. Packaging is a bit cluttered, but easy to understand, with an obvious connotation from the use of the word "Skinny." What's nice about this product is that they've managed to pack function, pleasant flavor, and a digestible brand into one package -- we think this could really have a shot.Reviewed on: 8/15/2008

Goji Fruit Punch

BevNET Review: Goji Fruit Punch has a lighter tasting body than some of the other varieties, although it has the same base of functionial ingredients, flavors, and sweeteners. It's hard to say that it actually tastes like goji or fruit punch, it's a rather pleasant tasting drink. However, we'd like to see a bit more "sweet" to the flavor, which might help with the product's mild aftertaste. Otherwise, we think that this is a very marketable product that delivers enjoyable taste and functional ingredients without any calories or carbs.Reviewed on: 8/18/2008

Acai Grape BlueBerry

BevNET Review: In terms of this variety's flavor, there's a lot going on inside this drink. Unlike some of the other flavors, we can taste the influence of the three fruit flavors, which is a positive in our book. There's a mild level of sweetness provided by acesulfame potassium and sucralose, while the functional ingredients (and artificial sweeteners) leave behind only a mild aftertaste. The use of SuperCitramax and ChromeMate forces this drink to be labeled as a supplement, which might impact its potential in the mainstream. Our favorite flavor of the lineup.Reviewed on: 8/15/2008

Peach Mango Mandarin

BevNET Review: Like some of of the other Skinny Water varieties, Peach Mango Mandarin has a lot of things going on. The fruit flavors, functional ingredients, and zero-calorie sweeteners deliver layers of flavor that work well together. For a drink that's advertised as helping to "quench your appetite," the product is surprisingly pleasing to the palate as well. Packaging is clean and crisp, with the name "Skinny Water" being straight and to the point. Overall, a very nice product. Reviewed on: 8/18/2008

Raspberry Pomegranate

BevNET Review: Skinny Water's Raspberry Pomegranate is a pleasant tasting beverage that's enhanced with weight loss and appetite suppressant ingredients in the form of EGCG, SuperCitrimax, and Chromemate. It's sweetened with ace-k and sucralose, which keeps the calories and sugar levels at zero. Despite these additives and the use of artificial sweeteners, the product is surprisingly enjoyable to drink even if you're just looking for something to replace a full calorie vitamin enhanced water. Packaging is clean and intuitive, although it lacks the personality that certain competing products have. Overall, it's an enjoyable product that we'd definitely consume again.Reviewed on: 8/15/2008
