BevNET Review: The White Tea variety of Slap Tea is also flavored with Lemonade, which overpowers most of the other flavors in the product. That being said, we'd love it if they would tone down the lemonade flavor and add a bit more tea to it. Still, it's a pleasant product -- assuming you are OK with a lemonade flavor -- and we appreciate the sweetener blend to help cut the calories. Packaging for this variety is silver with white and yellow accents surrounding the unique "Slap" logo. It's not as eye-catching as the red or green accents of the other two flavors, but the single color is a bit cleaner looking. Overall, a good product, but it would be a lot better with some more tea flavor.

I purchased this by chance at my local gas station here in CT. Normally we have three choices- Red Bull, big Red Bull and sugar free Red Bull. When i saw this interesting can, I decided to take my chances (as I usually do, I have a love of trying every new energy drink I can find- whether i regret it or not). I was concerned at first at the fact that it was tea- I am not a huge tea-from-a-can kind of lady. Also, the fact that it was tea concerned me that may be their gimmick to giving out energy. Upon opening and tasting I was instantly put silent- as it barely tastes like tea- in fact, if I wasn?t aware that this was a tea, I probably wouldn?t have figured it out. The lemon is quite subtle as well, and not bitter or acidy at all. Upon my taste bud pleasure I decided to actually read about what I was ingesting. Here I found that this is a "multi-stage energy supplement" . Slap tells us that this beverage is complete with Energy 9.0. Intrigued....I read on. Instead of tons of sugar to wake your ass up and then throw you down like hulk on a good day- this drink contains isomaltulose. Weird, right? What?s that? Where?s the High Fructose Corn Syrup??? Don?t look too hard, you?ll waste all the sugar from your last energy drink....isomaltulose is a disaccharide created by adding enzymes to sucrose. It?s also natural constituent of honey and sugar cane. The benefits of isomaltulose over normal sugar are that it is tooth friendly, has a natural sweet taste and is digested more slowly leading to a lower glycemic index. AKA no big rush and crash. Kinda nice. And oh yeah, energy 9.0 is: isomaltulose, taurine, maltodextrin, caffeine, white tea solids, B Vitamins, guarana, yerba mate, and fructose. All in all, I have energy, its been almost 6 hours now, and im not-nor ever was- jittery. I loved the flavor and look forward to trying the next one out.
