Peach Pomegranate

Snapple Red Tea

BevNET Review

Snapple’s Red tea – aka South African Rooibos tea – doesn’t really have much substance to it, which is really not much different from any of their other attempts to mainstream trendy tea varietals. The flavor of peach and pomegranate make up most of this product’s body, giving it the taste of watered down juice rather than tea. Fortunately for Snapple, the fruit flavors – which are partially derived from real pear juice (10%) – are pleasant, but they still taste like flavorings. The label design is good, but a stock-style cap kills their effort to give this product an upscale feeling. Overall, it certainly needs improvement, but we think this product will likely do well in mainstream channels nevertheless.
