Snapple White Tea

Manufacturer's Brand Overview [Edit]

As the most ambitious product launch in Snapple history, Snapple White Teas promise consumers a good-for-you beverage that quenches your ready-to-drink desires. Available in nectarine, green apple and raspberry flavors, Snapple White Teas are naturally light tasting because they are made from baby white tea leaves that are plucked at their purest and most delicate state. The teas are also naturally decaffeinated and contain antioxidants ensuring that the unique benefits of the white tea leaf is found in each bottle. New Snapple White Teas are made with real sugar - but less of it, so it's more refreshing and maintains its natural, healthy goodness.

Raspberry

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 17.5 fl oz (517 ml) glass
BevNET Review: This is our favorite of the Snapple White Teas; we’ve been beaten up by too many over-sweetened raspberry-flavored beverages, but this one manages to dial it back enough to let the tiniest bit of tea flavor break through at the end of a sip. That’s not to say it’s a great white tea, but it’s closer to being a good one than the other Snapple offerings. And once again, we’d like a more distinctive label. Reviewed on: 4/24/2006

Nectarine

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 17.5 fl oz (517 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Snapple’s taking on a lot here, trying to handle nectarine and white tea, both of which are tough flavors to get right. They do a decent job, but we’d like to see them give it a shot with about half the sugar they’re using right now. White tea is a subtle flavor; here, the subtle whisper gets drowned out by the sweetness. Also, the package, while explaining what white tea is, isn’t dynamic enough to make it jump off the shelf.Reviewed on: 4/24/2006

Green Apple

Product Type:Tea: Sweetened; Container: 17.5 fl oz (517 ml) glass
BevNET Review: Snapple steps into the white tea market with this product, but seems to forget the tea. It can be tough to make white tea flavor stand out, but the strength of the green apple flavor makes it nearly undetectable. And while we’re glad Snapple left out high-fructose corn syrup, and cut the sugar in this product, we think with a flavor as delicate as white tea, less is more. As for packaging, there’s nothing particularly distinctive about the label, which almost looks generic but for a small Snapple logo. Reviewed on: 4/24/2006
