BevNET Review: Snow's latest entry is a zero calorie formulation, which has appropriately been named "Light Snow." Like the other Snow varieties, this product is enhanced with vitamins, with the brand attempting to take an angle of indulgence with vitamins. In this case, they've eliminated most of the "indulgence" (aka sugar) and replaced it with erythritol and stevia. Of course, this allows the product to achieve zero calories and sugar while still retaining its "all-natural" tag. In terms of the actual execution, they've made a valiant effort, starting with their choice of a sharp citrus flavor to help offset the aftertaste of these sweeteners. But still, Light Snow's use of zero calorie sweeteners is unmistakable, with the sweetener flavors making their mark on the product's flavor. However, when comparing it against other products using the same sweetener blend, Light Snow is definitely right up there with the best of them. As far as the packaging goes, the addition of a white backdrop (vs. the silver of their sugar sweetened flavors) definitely helps the readability of the package. However, we think that the product has too much text on the front panel, which reduces the product's personable traits (the snow theme). Allowing there to be more emphasis on the snow flakes would help improve the "fun" factor of the product. Overall, it's a nice entry, but some packaging tweaks would make it better.Reviewed on: 11/1/2010
