BevNET Review: SoBe Energy has a very strong caffienated citrus flavor. We have no idea how much juice is actually in the product, but we can tell you that the product tastes somewhat syrupy and artificial. This is a result of the mixture of caffeine and juice flavors, which do not normally go together. However, this is a necessity in an energy beverage. We do have to give them some credit for using juice in their energy beverage, but we must also comment on the syrupy feel of this beverage. This beverage needs some improvement in this area before it will be a superior beverage.

I have never had an energy drink before and actually didn't even think about the caffeine part of it (duh!) but I liked it. It was a nice blend of flavors but now that I know it contains caffeine, I won't be able to drink it any more.

Best energy drink I've had

I've tried Red Bull and a host of other carbonated energy drinks, but the aftertastes and jitteriness turned me off. I tried this one on a whim and am in love with it. No, it doesn't necessarily give you an automatic boost, but I have an infant, and I have to wake up at 3 a.m. for her, and when I've taken a few long swigs of this the evening before, I wake up at 3 a.m. feeling like I've had a full night's sleep. For me, it's perfect. And no carbonation/jitteriness.

not sure if this is an energy drink one. I remember trying a flavor of sobe energy drink i just can't remember which one it was. i *think* it was this one. I felt no difference. just a regular sobe drink!

Not sure why the average is so low on this one. I am partial to it. This and one other are the only "clear" beverages I drink from the product line.
