Restore Pomegranate Ginger

First of all, using actual pomegranate juice in a drink that’s "pomegranate flavored" always scores big points with us. For the most part, they’ve done right with this mix, blending pomegranate and white grape (the "sweetener") juices with plant extracts (elderflower, nettle leaf, dandelion root, honeysuckle) to create a flavor that’s very pleasing to the palate. The ginger, which comes from extract, is rather mellow and not spicy as one might expect from a drink that is billed as ginger flavored. That's fine with us, especially since the pomegranate and other herbal flavors are quite pleasant. Packaging is eye catching, with an aesthetically pleasing front panel that makes good use of colors (aside from pairing green with pomegranate) and distinctive type treatment. However, requiring the consumer to turn the can is, well, something that could cause this product to be mistaken for an energy drink or simply passed over in a busy cooler. Overall, a very enjoyable product that's one of the more innovative approaches to the CSD category that we've seen in a while.
