Source Juice

Manufacturer's Brand Overview [Edit]

We are passionate about tasty products that are healthy and support a sustainable environment. That?s why we created Organic Source, a delicious blend of pure organic fruit juice and sparkling water As foodies, we were constantly searching for incredible organic fruit from farms all over. Over time, we were blown away by the quality of the fruit sources we found. We started using the fruit juice in some simple drinks that we liked to make (mixing fruit juice with sparkling water). We found that since the fruit juice sources were so pure and tasty, the drinks didn?t need any sugar, just organic juice and sparkling water. That day, Organic Source Sparkling Juice was born. It?s simple, pure and natural (under 50 calories per serving, gluten free and non-alcoholic). We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Pomegrante Açai

Product Type:Juice: Sparkling Juice; Container: 12 oz bottle
BevNET Review: The Pomegranate Acai flavor of Organic Source is a 34 percent juice blend of organic pomegranate, organic white grape, and organic acai juice (Sambazon brand). There’s no added sweetener, which keeps the sugar (12g) and calories (50) at bay per 8 oz. serving. From a flavor point of view, there’s the easily identifiable taste of white grape, while the acai and pomegranate combine to make something that’s tart and somewhat indistinguishable as acai and/or pomegranate. So, we’d certainly like to see a formulation that has less grape flavor and more of the marketed flavors. Otherwise, we don’t really see this product as being different enough than what’s out there already, aside from having less sugar than most of the competition. The same can be said about the branding and design, which isn’t a far cry from what you’ll find in a bottle of IZZE. That, even more than what’s inside the bottle, could lead to consumers simply missing this product on a store shelf. From our perspective, aside from making its visual appearance more exciting, we’d like to see a name that’s more personable and catchy, as “Source” sounds rather sterile and generic. Making those changes – and maybe putting it in a more sophisticated looking bottle might give this product some legs. Overall, the concept of mixing fruit juice and sparkling water without sweeteners isn’t a bad one, but the execution needs a lot of improvement. Reviewed on: 1/13/2010

White Grape

Product Type:Juice: Sparkling Juice; Container: 12 oz bottle
BevNET Review: While the name “White Grape” will likely inspire thoughts of filler juice in the heads of some, Organic Source’s formulation is one that’s actually quite enjoyable. Made with 34 percent juice and containing no added sweeteners, this product has a flavor that’s more akin to red grape juice, which might be the result of added grape essence rather than the white grape juice. In any event, this product is an enjoyable grape flavored product that makes for a nice, natural tasting alternative to grape soda. And with about 75 calories per bottle, it also makes for a nice in-between for those who want to cut calories and carbs, but don’t want to switch to something that uses artificial or other types of sweeteners. Packaging of this flavor is, like the other Organic Source flavors, a standard 12 oz. glass bottle. It’s the same bottle that you’ll find from a bottle of IZZE, which may result in this branding having a visual identity crisis. The second concern that we have is the name, White Grape, which sounds extremely pedestrian in this day and age. Figuring out a better way to market this seems like a necessary step. Overall, this was the best of the Organic Source flavors, with enjoyable flavor inside the bottle, but the branding isn’t quite there yet.Reviewed on: 1/13/2010
