BevNET Review: There’s a thickness to this particular smoothie that was a little less than charming, and the mango taste doesn’t really come through. But we nevertheless remain pleasantly surprised by Soy Blendz – as an RTD smoothie it’s attractive and not too big, and the label is bursting with fruit. BevNET Review: We were surprised by the bright, fruity taste of this product and its surprisingly un-soy-like consistency. There was a great balance between its strawberry and banana flavors and it was much more liquid and less thick than we would have thought. Soy Blendz carries a lot of calories – 230 -- for a 10-oz. product, but the 8 grams of protein should make it a satisfying snack, and its small size make it pretty ideal on the go. We don’t like the name and to a lesser extent, the presentation, however – “Soy Blendz” is a playful name for a product that doesn’t have a really fun reputation. While it’s got an attractive shrink wrap package, we’d recommend changing the “z” to “s.” Still, we’d be happy to have this in our lunchbox.Reviewed on: 12/1/2005
