BevNET Review: Sparkys Fresh Draft Root Beer is one of the best root beers we've ever tasted. It's very rich and creamy and has a very smooth vanilla flavor. In addition, it's sweetened with pure cane sugar and honey, so it has a very natural sweetness to it. Finally, it has a slight wintergreen / anice-like finish to it which really makes it a top notch brew. Definitely give this one a try.

This is a truly superb rootbeer, with a smooth mouth-feel, complex taste and lingering, crisp aftertaste. A wonderfully refreshing and sophisticated version of a classic.

I have tried lots of different root beers. I can honestly say that Sparky's is the best out there. Has a real good bite to it.

i got this on a visit to the bulldog root beer brewery, not as good as bulldog but one of the best, they can be proud of their effort.

I purchased this from a suggestion from a BevBoard regular. Pricy at $2.99 per 22 oz bottle, but well worth the treat. My taste buds awoke from their slumber. My mouth was screaming for more. Absolutely perfect rootbeer. Not syrupy-sweet or heavy, Sparky's has a nice bite which doesn't overpower the delecate flavors. I quickly downed the four I purchased. I wonder if I can get a discount for case quantities?

Wow.....just.....wow! Root beer does NOT get any better than this! I picked up a Sparky's at a local deli, a little intimidated at first by the size, but by the end of the bottle I was crying for more! The bite on this beast is absolutely perfect, not too strong but definitely not a shy soda! Way too many flavors too site, but I caught a lovely honey flavor that exquisitely complimented the spicy aftertaste. Smooth, distinctive and somehow unique while still tasting old-fashioned, Sparky's has stolen my heart! I'm leaving for college in the summer and can only hope that they carry this magical brew where I'm headed! Yay Sparky's! I don't know how you do it, but KEEP IT UP!

If you like root beers where wintergreen is not just an ingredient, but the overwhelming flavor force, then you might love it. They obviously put a lot of effort into this hand-crafted root beer. It pours with a great head, and has great mouth feel. It wakes your taste buds up. I like that fact, I just wish they used a little less wintergreen, and a little bit more of something else to provide the zip.
