I guess if you like extremely intense coffee drinks (cuban coffee, etc.) you might develop a taste for this. I couldn't handle it...especially iced. Maybee if it were a hot beverage....
I always keep a 4-pack of Doubleshots around for long drives, and it's rich enough cream-wise to even serve as a light meal, i.e. it's rather filling. My only beef here is the price ($2 a can?!) and the small size; needs to be about 50% bigger.
But like the rating drop-down window says "Select Value" - two bucks a can is just too expensive for this drink. The flavor is very good, with a smooth consistency that's not too thick, not too thin, but just right. And its sweetend very well for my tastes (true espresso fans will find it too sweet). I was a coffee shop Barista for about three years, and I would definitely recommend this drink, just buy it in the 4-packs from Target to save some money on them.

Expensive, but powerful
Taste - I have to say I kind of like it. Very powerful expresso with a bit of cream mixed in. A bit of a burnt taste, but not so bad that it overwhelms the product. Probably the best canned coffee product I've ever had ( though admittingly most canned coffees are awful) Energy - Very strong for such a small size, as it is only 6.5oz., yet has more kick than a Red Bull. Talk about loaded with caffeine. A 16oz. energy drink like a Monster still beats it though. Design - A cute little can with a classy Starbucks look to it. Overall while I like this product its hard to recommend it. The price is just too high, and while it tastes decent you are much better off getting a full sized mocha somewhere ( like um, a Starbucks!) for not much more money. If I want a boost on the go I'll stick to a traditional energy drink.
This is truly an EXTREME drink. I could not stomach the extreme levels of the espresso. The cream used is good, but there is not enough of it. It also has a slightly cooked flavor to it, like we're drinking the thick cream on top instead of milk. Also, the sugar is not noticeable due to the espresso being the overbearing taste factor...
It does give me energy, but totally not worth it. I can make myself a double shot Mocha that tastes far better than that...Plus, for the price (and the size??!), it is far too uneconomical to purchase on a regular basis.
Its an alright coffee drink for those on the run. It has a really robust flavor, like that of an espresso but with some hints of bitterness and a flavor almost similar to burnt coffee beans. It goes down well, initally bold flavor but that signature Starbucks bitterness sets in no your taste buds after.
The commerical may hint to chances of a supervisor promotion at your job, and a really aged old school rock band singing you praise when you drink this. However, all you really get is a $2+ dent in your wallet, an alright coffee drink that leaves you with that bitter taste in your mouth after.
Definately not the best, but theres really no other beverage on the market in the same vein.

Better than Frappacino
It's obvious the reviewer for BevNet doesn't live in a small town. They said why is this product needed when it's not hard to get to a Starbucks for the real thing. I have my own espresso machine but it broke today and and I was desperate. Doubleshot filled in nicely. It would have been an hour drive to an espresso bar. I'm glad Starbucks didn't forget the millions of us who don't live in a big city.
I love this beverage! it's not oversweet and knocks you on the head with enough roasted coffee kick. A great alternative to energy drinks and/or coffee.
Starbucks Doubleshot is a premuim coffee drink that clams itself to be two shots of coffee. I dont know about that but this is 6.5 Fl Oz of Espresso and Cream heaven in a can. The Espresso does work, a lot. It is the best tasting coffee in a can yet. Great energy and a pretty cool label that is sure to grab attenion. However, the doubleshot part of it might give away a few. Overall, supreme coffe Strarbucks.
This is 1 of my go to drinks for the quik pick-me-upper. It suprisingly packs quite a punch despite its small volume, and taste great, for those of your like my self if taste is an issue. It kicks in quite fast to. if you need a quik recharge, this will not dissapoint. My only complaint is that it is a bit pric3y. BUt its still cheaper than cokaine......^^
Get that extra boost needed to get you through the day!
This coffee drink is creamy tasting and mellow. It gives me that extra uumph I need to get me through a slow afternoon at the office, but surprisingly does not leave me with the jitters! I love this stuff! Only con is the price.
