BevNET Review: Using a USDA Organic and Fair Trade Certified formulation, Steaz’s Energy Shot is one of the best energy shots that we’ve tried. The base of the drink is green tea and mate, which offer an earthy backdrop to acai and berry flavors that help this drink achieve its unique flavor. A touch of sweetness has been added through the use of organic evaporated cane juice. The combination is very pleasing on the palate, especially since the drink’s “energy” bite comes with a very earthy, natural twist. With 150mg of caffeine derived from natural means (guarana, mate, and tea), the product has a respectable kick. Packaging is one of the most unique things about this product, utilizing a first-of-its-kind hot-fill 2.5 oz. bottle which looks great and has the added benefit of allowing the product to be bottled without preservatives. An attractive green color, the use of “organic” in the name of the product, and prime placement of the USDA Organic and Fair Trade Certified emblems make it the complete package. Definitely one of the best shots that we’ve seen hit the market to date.
